Environmental Ranking Symbols
Each Neutral Existence member will receive different ranking symbols according to their contribution and pledge to do specific environmental footprint reduction actions. The ultimate goal of course is to become carbon neutral and earn the "green earth" symbol below.
Green Earth:
The green earth is the most difficult and prestigious ranking to attain. The only way to earn this ranking is by reducing your emissions by 100%. This symbol is a representation of your carbon neutral existence which does help to make our planet more green.
Green House:
Aside from the Green Earth ranking, this ranking is the most difficult to achieve. The only way to receive this ranking is by reducing your home's emissions to zero. This means that your home is running on some sort of alternative energy and you are recycling and living sustain ably. Airplane Knot:
From the popular 80's movie "Airplane" this fantastic rendering by Robert Grossman is a perfect way to reward our users for curbing their airplane travel. In order to be eligible for this symbol, you must reduce your air travel by at least one trip per year. By reducing just one plane trip you can eliminate from 1,000 to 14,000 pounds of carbon emissions from entering our atmosphere.
Gas Pump Neuse:
This gas pump neuse is one of the most difficult ranking to earn, as it requires the user to give up their gas burning vehicle in favor of a carbon neutral one or none at all. All other vehicle modifications, hybrids and alternate fuels will fall under the ranking below.
Flowering Gas Tank:The gas tank flower symbol is reserved for those individuals who take some sort of action to reduce their vehicle emissions. Weather it be from using alternative fuels, fuel catalyst or carpooling and public transportation, any of these major actions will earn you this ranking.
Recycler:
The recycler ranking is a straight forward low level ranking. If you take the proper actions to recycle paper, metal and plastics, you will receive this recycler ranking.
CFL Bulb:
The CFL Bulb ranking is another low level ranking symbol which you can earn by replacing more than one incandescent light bulb in your house with compact florescent bulbs.
Growing Green:
This is the default ranking that you receive upon becoming a member of the My Neutral Existence social site. We give you this rank simply because you are taking the very first steps to begin living a more environmentally fri
